Comments from Head Coach Matt Wiemers: A successful roadtrip to North Platte, with both the varsity and junior varsity earning to duel wins, which improves the season duel record to 17-1.
We opened play with a sweep of Hershey 9-0. We had the opportunity to enter some of our junior varsity players into the lineup anmd they performed well. Alizah Reynolds conitues to show imorvement earning a tightly contested singles match 8-6. The same was true for for Kaela and Lily at 3 doubles, competing against Hersheys top two player and earning a 9-7 win. Great to see the grit those three girls showed today.
We then travled across town to Cody Park to take a senior heavey North Platte team. The girls came out on fire, winning 4 of the 5 matches in dominating fashion. Verey pleased with the play of Abby Schneider at 1 singles, Elizabeth and Cassidy at 1 doubles. Those three really manhandeled their opponents, of whom are talented tennis players.
Madi and Kenadi played a solid match and at 2 doubles and are really settling in nicely. They play more and more each day like a doubles team. Very proud of the improvement they are showing.
Emma and Analia continue to power through their opponents, with a 8-1 win. They compliment one another on the court so well. They have amassed a 15-2 reocrd at 3 doubles. They have grown their game this season and have been a solid doubles team on our varsity lineup.
With the duel wins, the varisty improves to 17-1 and are currently ranked as #4 in Class B. Here are the top 10 teams in Class B:
